Emergency Response

The PHRC’s interventions are not limited - we adjust our activities based on the evolving needs of those affected by the emergency. We have constructed shelters for displaced families, supplied essential winter clothes, and provided cooked meals. Our efforts will persist as the situation develops.

Essential medical supplies

In the first two months of the campaign, Awni was based in Cairo where he worked on securing, assembling and purchasing essential medical supplies and equipment required by hospitals in Gaza.

He secured and delivered two batches of medical supplies, including syringes, airway equipment, ultrasound devices, orthopedic instruments, tourniquets and other essential items that hospitals in Gaza were running short of.

For this, the PHRC team engaged with trusted suppliers to obtain what is needed. The campaign prioritized the most essential needs as requested by the hospitals in Gaza which were brought to Egypt during the temporary ceasefire in late November through the Rafah border.
