Our Stories
Our campaign is powered by a talented team of dedicated people. They supported the establishment of the children’s village, and work tirelessly to provide children with activities that bring joy, relief, healing, and a sense of normalcy amidst the devastation of war and the uncertainty of the future.

Fatma Aljabari
Hello, my name is Fatima. I am 24 years old. I was displaced from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip through the corridor that they said would be safe. I specialize in digital marketing, and I love art and adventures. I never thought this could happen. It’s been five months that I have not been able to sleep in peace. I have lost the ability to count my days, and I don’t know how they pass. I can no longer think or stop thinking. I live in a state of distraction. I have not seen my relatives and friends in a very long time. I have lost a lot. And every day that passes feels like a year.

Basil Abu Suleiman
My name is Basil Abu Suleiman, I am 25 years old from Jabalia Camp. I'm married and hold a degree in Physical Education from Al-Aqsa University. I am a Kung Fu coach, a gymnast, and a Romanian wrestler. For two years, I dedicated my time to the UNRWA Fun Weeks, earning the title of the best activator in 2022. In my community, I established a Kung Fu and gymnastics club where I trained and graduated hundreds of players, leading the club to numerous local championships. Unfortunately, my club was damaged in the brutal aggression.

Shorouk Taha
I am Shorouk Taha, 29 years old, and specializing in health administration. I worked in the field of health education as well as children’s activities. Every day, I used to work on developing my skills and experiences. My self-confidence was the primary support for any success. Every day, I took care of my home, my husband, and my son. I used to live the best, most beautiful life, and even though I had little, I was very happy. Until one day I woke up to the sound of heavy explosions around us.
